In my previous post I mentioned how my kids have made me a better person and taught me so many things. Well this is in continuation of the last post. It's more like a letter to my 'pre mom' self for everything I didn't appreciate lol.

My kids are growing and there will be a time when they will not need me so much. However being a mom of little ones I have a new found appreciation for everything I took for granted.

I would like to mention that I love my kids and would not do anything differently in terms of having them and loving them. They are my life. This is just a post to show how they made me appreciate little things.

So here is a letter to myself to say sorry if I did not appreciate the things that matter a lot now:

1. Sleep:

You don't really understand the value of sleep till you start breastfeeding every three hours. When I didn't had kids sleeping was the last thing on my mind. Now it's the only thing with some other things on my mind lol. We take sleep for granted, I would like to say sorry to my pre-mom self for doing that. Although I will be enjoying it with lots of appreciation once my kids start to sleep through the night. NEVER TAKE SLEEP FOR GRANTED, put your phones down and go to sleep.

2. Time:

I never took time granted anyways but now I appreciate time even more. When your whole day is planned according to the kid's routine and you can't afford to waste even a minute because it will muck up everything else, you learn to manage your time to the last second. Add house work, preparing meals and office in the equation and there you have your day full of things you need to do and don't forget you didn't sleep well either. So my pre, present and post self, sorry if I wasted my time on useless things. My time is precious and would not let anyone or myself waste it.

3. Having meals:

I can't remember the last time I sat down to have a meal and there was no dirty nappy that had to changed or a crying baby that all of sudden got hungry after he is been fed already. Or one kid trying to talk to me and other trying to steal food from my plate. Meal time for me is like a sprint. If you don't eat fast enough you don't eat at all. So my future self I will appreciate all my meals that I get to eat without any interruptions.

4. Me time:

Do not and I say do not take me time for granted because there will be no me time even in the toilet or in the shower once you have kids lol. I have to strategically plan my me time if am lucky to find a window of opportunity. Oh and the worst bit I start to miss my kids within an hour of my me time. Hahahahah joys of being a mother.

Kids have taught me and showed me that even the little things are very important to appreciate. Thank you babies for teaching me all the valuable things. Love you.
